FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING

CANDIDA ALBICANS
A common issue which we see is an overgrowth of candida albicans in the gut, which we can detect from our sensitivity test. Candida is a yeast, which should be in the gut in healthy amounts. However certain things like high stress, poor diet and antibiotics can cause candida to grow and become out of control which can lead to all types of issues
Commonly there will be stomach complaints with candida, such as bloating, IBS, gassiness, heartburn etc. Weight gain that will not shift can also be caused by candida, as it is holding toxins in your body. Poor energy, brain fog and difficulty concentrating are more common symptoms of candida.
Itchiness is another common symptom with candida, especially around the eyes, ears, scalp and nose. The nose may be blocked, there may be sinus problems, and an intolerance of tobacco smoke, perfumes and chemicals. Symptoms may be worse on damp, muggy days.
Symptoms of candida overgrowth may include, burning or tingling sensations, muscle aches, painful and/or swollen joints, bowel disorders, vaginal discharge or itching. Headaches may be frequent, vision may be erratic, loss of balance, pressure above the ears, rashes, dry mouth, bad breath, tightness in the chest or shortness of breath, urinary frequency and discomfort when urinating.
